About Us

Buying a small farm in the country had always been a dream of ours from the time we said "I Do" in 1975.  Then with our three small boys in tow, our dreams were realized when we bought an 1839 homestead in Freeport, Michigan in May, 1986.

The property was the home to a beautiful barn also built in 1839 which was in need of major repair.  Over the years, its condition worsened.  Finally in 2020, we decided to have it surveyed to determine whether to tear it down or possibly restore it as a ministry/outreach/event center.   Under the guidance of Hay Mouw Barn Restoration Company, the restoration process began in October, 2020.  Our goal was to have the barn fully renovated and ready for event use the summer of 2023.   Be sure to view our photo gallery to see the stages of progress in this exciting endeavor.
